Hand & Lock – the worlds finest providers of hand embroidery since 1767 require an experienced IT and Marketing Executive to handle a wide variety of roles within the business on a permanent basis.
Job responsibilities include:
- Managing all website and social media content (writing copy, website maintenance, SEO, server administration, analytics)
- Providing IT support (software/hardware) for all end-users
- Building and co-ordinating newsletters/press releases under briefing of company Directors
- Maintaining e-commerce system, handling web orders and customer queries
- Marketing, management and administration for a globally renowned embroidery competition
This role requires you to have the following
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Experience in IT troubleshooting/repair
- Ability to write informative, relevant, and interesting content
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and hard-working
- Fast ability to learn
Desirable (not essential):
- Coding knowledge (HTML/CSS/PHP)
- Strong ability in using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
- Web technologies (DNS/FTP/Plesk)
- Google adwords campaign
- SEO knowledge
- Graphic Design (Photoshop/Illustrator)
- Previous experience of email marketing campaigns
- Previous experience of using web analytics (eg Google Analytics)
- Previous experience of using CMS such as WordPress/Magento
- Previous experience managing web content and design

Digital Design/Marketing Internship

Hand & Lock is seeking an intern to help develop an advertising campaign for a minimum of 6 weeks. The ideal candidate will be organized, self motivated, and able to work to a deadline, with strong design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with textiles and embroidery a plus, but not required. This is a great opportunity to work with a British heritage company with over 240 years of experience producing hand embroidery, and to help develop a campaign that will propel us forward. Knowledge of Google analytics, adwords, and social media marketing strategies strongly preferred.
