Hand & Lock ‘GO HARD’ for Lethal Bizzle!

For several years, Hand & Lock have been commissioned by Adidas for customising anything from their tracksuits, trainers, sunglasses and caps. These clothes are specifically embellished for famous musical artists worn by for massive musical event ceremonies, such as the Mobo’s, the MTV awards and the ‘Brits’.
This September, Adidas approached Hand & Lock with another customisation request for grime artist Lethal Bizzle’s Autumn 2009 ‘Go Hard’ tour. The request that Adidas gave when customising the neoprene Adidas jackets, was that they would have to be ‘bling’ but kept to a budget! So, with their creative thinking caps on, Hand & lock began the jazz up the 6 jackets!
Sana Uddin Studio Manager, knew that front man Lethal Bizzle’s jacket had to stand out the most, so she chose to use clear acrylic crystals for the iconic Adidas 3 stripes down each sleeve and for the rest of the group chose to use a silver mylar lace, taken from Hand & Lock’s vast military department.

As the jackets were for Lethal Bizzle’s tour, they had to be also bold, so the fronts and backs of the jackets were also customised using machine embroidery. Each jacket was personalised with the name of each artist in the group, embroidered just underneath the silver Adidas trefoil on the left breast. Using the same silver lurex thread for the back of the jackets, Hand & Lock embroidered each with the name of the tour on the centre back which certainly made the jackets bold, bling and hard!
