Royal Variety Performance 2008

Hand & Lock is proud to be associated to the 80th Royal Variety Performance.

Couple of months ago, Hand & Lock Creative Director – Carne Griffiths – was approached by Elliott Young to design and produce a hand embroidered cover for the 2008 Royal Variety Performance programme. This unique piece of embroidery was to be presented to their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales & the Duchess of Cornwall.

Produced on a white damas, the embroidery pictured in the classiest way the 80th Royal Variety Performance logo alongside the Prince of Wales’s crest.

The Royal Variety Performance was host on December 11th at the London Palladium Theatre. Members of the audience were given a printed copy of the original embroidered programme, where they could still see the high quality of embroidery involved.

The Show will be transmitted on television on Wednesday 17th December on BBC One.
